The only difference is: QQ2 Basic requires manually battery recharge and other QQ2 models charge battery automatically when battery power is low. There is no other functional difference.
One main unit with a dust collection bin, rechargeable NiMh 2500mAh battery, quick battery charger, remote control unit with battery, user manual, warranty registration card, cleaning brush, and 3 washable filters. Please remove all packaging material (e.g. protection foam behind bumper) before use CleanMate.
One single charge will clean about 400 square feet.
A single charge can last from about 60 minutes to 80 minutes based on battery and floor conditions.
If the run time is shorter, please check and clean the roller brush.
It consumes only 24 watts. A typical upright vacuum cleaner motor will take 12 Amp current and consume more than 1000 watts of power.
No. CleanMate has sensors which will detect the height and will turn away from steps to prevent dropping. Contrast lighting on the floor will make the stair-avoidance system less effective.
It will clean carpet, hardwood, tile and linoleum floor. It will not clean plush and long pile carpet. It will not suck up dirt embedded deep down in the fibers of long pile carpet.
The vacuum fan is rotating at speed of 5.2 meter per second. It has good suction power.
Battery is pre-installed, pull out protective film so unit can be recharged and turned on . Protective clear film has red color arrow direction, swing film left and right until it can be pulled out. Plug one end of battery charger to the charging port on vacuum first, then plug the other end of charger to power outlet. Blue LED indicator is flashing during battery charging. You will hear one or two beeps and LED indicator is turned off when battery is fully recharged. Disconnect battery charger power cord after battery is fully recharged.Fully charge the battery before using the vacuum for the first time.
Do you clean hairs on roller brush? Dirty roller brush will shorten unit running time.
New battery may come in discharged condition, so please recharge the battery fully before using the CleanMate. When you install the battery into CleanMate unit, make sure the battery seat securely in the battery compartment and makes good contact inside.
The initial charging time might be short, but after a complete cleaning cycle, the normal battery charging will become about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. If the battery charging time is short after many recharging cycles and running time is still short (less than 30 minutes), then battery may be over drain. Please recharge the battery for 3 days continuously without unplug AC charger.
If short CleanMate running time problem persists, the problem may be cause by a defective battery, a defective AC charger or the malfunction of CleanMate unit itself. CleanMate uses 14.4V NiMH battery on QQ2. The normal output voltage of CleanMate AC charger adapter is in 20~22V range. You can measure voltage of battery, it should not be less than 10V. Fully charged battery voltage should be between 14.4 to 16.5V.
Do not leave the battery in drained condition for a long period of time. Charge the battery as soon as you can after the cleaning is done. Leaving battery in drained condition for too long will damage the battery.
When QQ2 Basic gets into a tight spot, it will usually find its way out after some times. We recommend that you watch QQ2 Basic the first couple of times you use it, so you can see if there are cleaning areas where it gets stuck, and move things and set up barrier as needed. Because QQ2 Basic lightly bumps walls and other objects as it cleans, remove any light items that may be pushed or knocked over. Of course, you will get better results if you clear the floor of any loose items before cleaning, just as you would if you were using a traditional upright vacuum.
QQ2 Basic will not pick up large debris which is bigger than its dust bin intake opening.
If QQ2 Basic doesnt seem to be cleaning as well as it did, your brushes and/or filter may need cleaning . We suggest you remove and cleaning QQ2 Basic brushes whenever you empty the dust bin. Check side brush too.
You need to recharge it manually with the battery charger. Plug in the battery charger into an AC outlet and insert wire terminal into the power jack which is located on the unit side (next to side brush). It is similar to the way you recharge your cell phone. The POWER blue light will flash during charging. The LOWER BATT CHARGE red light will come on with a buzzing noise to indicate that the battery should be recharged. It will take about 3 hours to fully recharge the battery. To save power consumption, unit will be turned off after battery recharging is complete. It will take about 3 hours to fully recharge the battery. To save power consumption, unit will be turned off after battery recharging is complete. We suggest you unplug AC charger from AC outlet yourself after you hear beeping sound.
Make sure removing the protective foam pads behind front bumper before turning it on. The front bumper should be able to move freely after you push it and release it. If the bumper impact sensor does not work probably, you can remove the front bumper to see if problem is gone. If yes, re-install the bumper carefully and make sure that it leaves enough clearance for the bump sensors to react normally. Clean the cliff sensors (Part # GQQ-1A-HT-2) under the front bottom edge of CleanMate with clean cloth and alcohol. If the surface of sensor component is dirty, it might be cause the CleanMate to think there is deep step in front it, so it will move backwards. The main PCB (Part # SP-QQ2-PCB01) may needs to be replaced if both bumper impact sensor and cliff sensors are working fine. Note: CleanMate may have difficulty to clean on a very dark (some dark carpet) or very bright surface (floor with direct sunlight). Once these situations are corrected, it should continue the cleaning job. If you still have problem, please contact our tech support team for further as
Make sure battery protector film is removed. Open battery comparment to check if necessary. Check the both contact and battery inside the remote, and replace it if the battery is dead. You can purchase battery from our on-line store. If it still does not work, replace the whole remote control unit (QQ2 Part # 6033080). If you still have problem, please contact our tech support team for further assistance.
There might be problems with the side brush motor, roller brush motor, or the power components in side the CleanMate.
One of the wheel motors might be defective. If the CleanMate unit is always turning in counter clockwise to the left, then the left wheel is defective. Left wheel has a marking āLā on the outside of left wheel assembly, and it is located next to the UV light.
Cliff sensors might be dirty or defective. Try to clean the dust on the cliff sensors (on the bottom of CleanMate).
